Our work is highly collaborative and interdisciplinary, involving undergraduate and graduate students and partnering with colleagues around the world.
Though our focus is on inland water bodies, our activities often are oceanographic in scope and scale.
Our Impact
The research conducted by our faculty, staff and students has great impact. For example, by contributing to a clearer understanding of the history of our climate we can better interpret current climate data. By studying the impacts of human activity on the world's large lakes, we can help guide efforts to sustain and preserve these bodies of water. These are major issues facing our communities and our planet and we're making a difference.
