Freshwater Discovery Day

The students, staff, and faculty at the University of Minnesota Duluth’s Large Lakes Observatory are privileged to work every day to deepen our understanding of Earth’s major freshwater reserves. We are excited to share this work with you and hope you join us to learn about Lake Superior and the other large lakes of Earth on July 31.
This day-long event will include:
- A morning interpretive cruise on Lake Superior where you will hear directly from the scientists working to further our understanding of this big, mysterious, and valuable body of freshwater.
- Lunch on-shore.
- Afternoon on-shore demonstrations, films and presentations, where you will hear from the scientists themselves about their latest findings and what they portend for the future.
- Banquet-style dinner.
