As the world faces increased challenges

We need new innovative STEM leaders to meet them. Our collective hope is that increased understanding of STEM will support informed decision making from all citizens.

Cafe events are set for Friday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Our December cafe will be held on laser technology and how it is used in biomedical research of diseases as well as material developments, presented by Dr. Ahmed Heikal.

How do Cafes Happen?

Teen Leaders talk with scientists and engineers, advertise, and organize the cafes. The work is supported by an SCSE committee with funding from Cirrus Aircraft. This program has been designed in collaboration with students from Denfeld, Duluth East, Harbor City Hermantown, and Marshall high schools.
