Thesis Research: My thesis focuses on developing a better understanding of cyanobacteria harmful algal blooms (cHABs), specifically bloom phenology and what drivers may affect bloom development. We are analyzing various parameters including biological, physical, and chemical factors that could lead to bloom formation. I am interested in how the phytoplankton community changes over time and what implications the community composition has on cHAB formation.
