Professional Title
Associate Professor of Physics & Astronomy

Education
Ph.D. in Physical Oceanography, 2011, Oregon State University

Research
My lab studies geophysical fluid dynamics, internal waves, and turbulence in oceans and large lakes. Through a combination of theory, observations, and numerical modeling, we identify underlying dynamics that will ultimately improve both real-time hydrodynamic forecasts and projections of future climate (through improved parameterizations of unresolved processes).
