Algae Bloom on Lake Superior Draws National Attention

An unprecedented algae bloom along the south shore of Lake Superior near the Cornucopia, Wisconsin sea caves has raised concerns about the changing climate and its effects on Lake Superior.

Scientists at UMD and the Large Lakes Observatory have been studying the algae bloom and their research has drawn attention from regional, state and national media.
