Physics BS
Physics BS is a traditional time-honored physics degree that takes you through the rigorous sequence of foundational core ideas, from Newton to Einstein, and the electives that branch off into the popular areas of theoretical and experimental physics. Course requirements include a sequence of General Physics courses, advanced upper-level courses, and the requisite mathematical and computer-science courses that develop the needed analytical and numerical skills.
Some of the paths you can take through Physics BS are illustrated by sample major plans. Minor plans show some of the ideas of completing a minor with this major.
Physics BA
Physics BA (bachelor of arts) is a more flexible, liberal arts degree that allows more freedom in selecting upper-level courses, so it can be combined with other majors and interests. Course requirements emphasize conceptual foundations, problem-solving skills, and experimental techniques, and cover the foundational physics courses.
