Details and Price

A birthday party at the planetarium lasts two hours, costs $150, and consists of:

  • One hour of programing which includes 2 shows of your choice (full list here)
    • Shows can be any time during your 2-hour party time period. 
  • Use of the atrium for other party events (cake, presents, etc.) for one hour.
    • Setup and cleanup time before and after your party is included in your hour use of the atrium. (See below if you are interested in having additional time.)
      • You are welcome to bring decorations for the area. However, we ask that you choose items that are easy to clean up and do not leave debris behind. For examples, please avoid loose glitter, confetti, and other small items that are difficult to pick up.
    • There are 6 picnic style tables that seat 24-36 people (see image below). The tables will have black tablecloths on them (but you are welcome to bring other tablecloths if desired).

  • Additional time can be added to your party for $25 per an additional 30 minutes. 
  • Use of our refrigerator/freezer, if needed.
    • Food and beverages are only allowed in the atrium, they are NOT allowed in the planetarium itself.

The planetarium seats 65 people, but it is recommended to keep the party size under 30 people due to limited space in the atrium. 

Policies

  • Your event can be paid for the day of with cash, check, or credit card.
  • Planetarium staff reserve the right to end a show early if attendees are being rude or disrespectful to staff or the other attendees. 
  • Shows will be canceled if attendees are more than 10 minutes late. 
  • In both cases above, there will be no refund issued.
