Research
Work in our lab is broadly focused on the impacts of environmental change on elemental cycling, food webs, and biological communities in lake ecosystems. A major focus of our current work is on the winter limnology of seasonally freezing lakes and the consequences of changing winters for lake ecosystems, from microbes to fish. We collaborate with global networks of researchers to conduct work in the Laurentian Great Lakes and smaller lakes throughout North America.
