I am investigating mycorrhizal interactions with native tree species, and how the symbiotic relations can enhance reforestation efforts. My work has included comparing commercial mycorrhizal products vs native soil-derived mycorrhizae, assessing coadaptation effects of seed vs mycorrhizae source, and culturing different species of native mycorrhizal fungi. My research is aimed at informing growing protocols for nurseries and small scale tree growing operations, to enhance climate resiliency in tree seedlings.
