My work involves researching the host-pathogen interactions between Lyme disease-causing bacteria (Borrelia burgdorferi) and host cells. I am interested in understanding how B. burgdorferi has adapted to survive within fibroblasts and how the fibroblasts respond to bacterial invasion.
