Research interests
My research is focused on experimental testing of structures under various static and dynamic loadingconditions coupled with analytical validations using finite element models. Particularly, I have experiencein numerical analysis and experimental testing of precast bridge components and subassemblies under thermal and fatigue loads. I am also interested in health monitoring and preventive care for existingbridges. During my doctoral studies, I worked on several research projects funded by the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) and Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT).My research resulted in modifications in AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications.
I am excited to collaborate with colleagues and students in the department to pursue research projects thataddress critical infrastructure challenges facing our society.
