This first annual Freshwater Discovery Day is set for July 31st, 2024. LLO researchers will be on hand to talk about research on microplastics, spearheading the field of winter limnology, and provide tours and demonstrations to participants.

The event will kick off with a morning interpretive cruise followed by an afternoon of demonstrations, presentations, and films. Lunch and dinner are included with purchase of a ticket.

Food/Meals:
- Backyard Cookout Lunch: Grilled hamburgers*, bbq baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad. *Impossible Burger substitute available.
- Buffet-Style Dinner: Arugula salad, rosemary potatoes, sweet potato mash, green bean almondine, roasted veggies, grilled chicken.
Parking: Full-day free parking available at Pier B Resort Hotel. A 0.7 mile one-way walk to and from Vista Fleet dock is required for the morning cruise. Alternative arrangements are available for those that prefer a shuttle, contact [email protected] to request these services. Parking is also available near the Vista Fleet dock at the DECC for $10/day.
