Research interests
My research is focused on experimental testing of concrete and steel structures under various static and dynamic loading conditions coupled with analytical validations using finite element models. Particularly, I have experience in numerical analysis and experimental testing of bridge components and subassemblies under thermal and fatigue loads. I am also interested in structural health monitoring and preventive care for existing steel and concrete bridges. During my doctoral studies, I worked on several research projects funded by the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) and Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). My research resulted in modifications in AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications.
