Training Needed
We need to ensure the safety and well-being of participants in Swenson College Outreach activities, therefore it's important that all of our volunteers receive the appropriate training.
We've done our best to make the process as straightforward and convenient as possible, so many of the steps can be done in your own time.
Canvas-based training
Follow this link to enroll in the Canvas-based training course via the Training Hub (email us below with any questions).
Allow ~2 hours total for training and be sure to complete all training at least a week before your event.
Sign up for your volunteer event via the Canvas calendar by searching for appointments. Watch the following video on how to sign up.Â
Overview of training:
Youth safety, engagement, and best practices (readings and overview quiz)
Volunteer agreement form submission
Diversity, equity, and inclusion
Will receive a link for this ~1 hour training from the Office of Diversity and Inclusion
Meet with Outreach Team to debrief
Additional, event specific training
