Thesis Research: Effective conservation of migratory species requires the knowledge of a species’ habitat use throughout its full annual cycle. My research focuses on using stable isotope analysis to determine the breeding origins and migratory patterns of raptors migrating through Duluth during fall migration. Knowledge of breeding origins and migratory patterns would allow data collected during migration to be interpreted in a geographic context.
