3D Printing ClubÂ
The 3D Printing Club is designed to share and expand the world of 3D printing. We welcome members from all backgrounds, both novice and experienced. Our goal is to be an educational resource for those looking to learn more about 3D printers, modeling and slicing software, and the possibilities of 3D printing.

The American Fisheries Society is focused on preserving and protecting local fisheries and waterbodies surrounding the Duluth, MN area. In order to have sustainable fisheries, water quality is of utmost importance. Events include invited speakers from local agencies, trash pickup on local shorelines, helping with local scientific studies, and much more.
American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE)
UMD’s official community for chemical engineers where you can meet other students and faculty, and find out about employment and research opportunities.
American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC)
A Civil Engineering organization for students who are looking to increase their knowledge of steel construction through hands on learning. In a typical school year, we focus on constructing a bridge, made out of steel, for the Steel Bridge Competition.
American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
The ASCE UMD Student Chapter is a professional group of students who meet with working professionals within the civil engineering field to further develop their knowledge and network with local businesses. The group strives to help students learn more about their chosen major, make new friends, and gain practical knowledge on concrete, water, dirt, construction, and anything else involving civil engineering. Anybody interested in the field of civil engineering is welcome to join their bi-weekly meetings. Arts & Medicine Interest Group
The Arts and Medicine group aims to integrate art and medicine into the medical school experience. We hope to create a community within the medical school to collaborate and share creatively, to provide social activities and events for the membership, and to engage with, explore, and support the communities of artists around us.
Association for Computing Machinery
The UMD ACM club has weekly meetings about computer science and technology. We host research talks, technology seminars, career preparation workshops, and participate in programming competitions.
Association for Native American Medical Students
The Association of Native American Medical Students (ANAMS) is a student organization representing Native American graduates, health professionals and students throughout the U.S. and Canada. Our goals include providing support and resources for all Native Americans currently enrolled in various allied health professions schools. The University of Minnesota Chapter specifically provides support for students enrolled in both the Duluth and Twin Cities campuses.
Our mission is to create a community between the students and faculty. Our job is to create that connection and create the safe space where students can meet the faculty from the department. This is where students can find opportunities and expand their connections.
This group is aimed at providing medical students an opportunity to discuss and apply bioethical rationale to real world situations and practice in an ethically sound manner.

We are engineers competing in the Formula SAE Collegiate Design Series to design, fabricate, test, and compete with a small formula style vehicle.Â
Design, manufacture and test a high-powered rocket to partake in the Space Grant Midwest High-Power Rocket Competition held annually in Minnesota and cosponsored by NASA.
The Chocolate Club is a chemical engineering club that applies engineering concepts in an experimental setting for undergraduate students to aid in the understanding of the application of topics covered in classes.
Work on the redesign of a new, fresh-off-the-production-line snowmobile to make it faster, lighter, more reliable and more efficient.
The Concrete Canoe Team competes in the American Society of Civil Engineers’ symposium every year against other colleges across the country. The team uses the year to prepare and create the concrete mix design, create a new hull, and prepare for the presentation for the final competition.
Diesel Engineering Club (Diesel Club)
Work on the theory, programming, tuning, research and design of diesel engine applications by doing hands-on work and intricate testing.
Duluth Transportation Student Organization (DTSO)
DTSO is a student chapter of both the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and ITS Minnesota (ITSMN). ÂITE is an international association of transportation professionals who work to improve mobility and safety and help build smart and livable communities. ITSMN is comprised of individuals and organizations who are interested in the development of Minnesota’s Intelligent Transportation Systems industry.
DTSO creates a bridge between the educational and professional settings, providing students with an opportunity to learn more about the transportation profession and to network with professionals and companies involved in transportation. DTSO is open to any student interested in engineering, planning, technology, or research related to transportation. National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)
The mission of this group is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact their community.
Open to all curious individuals, this club explores the natural world in a fun way through discussion, speaker presentations, games and movies. The group also tries to make a positive difference by offering tutoring and help sessions to students.
We provide students with an opportunity to get exposure to dentistry as well as helping students create a strong network in the dental field. Our mission is to help students build their resumes, give academic advice, and provide insight into the dental field. We also have opportunities for volunteer service, and DAT preparation and all skills dental related.
We are a club committed to providing undergraduate students interested in the field of genetics and the career of genetic counseling with opportunities to learn more about the field.
This club is dedicated to bringing together students interested in pursuing a post-graduate education in the field of medicine. Being exposed to a wide range of information and experiences encourages students to plan and excel academically, challenge themselves socially, and become more involved in activities both on and off campus.
Pre-pharmacy club is dedicated to helping students network and prepare on the journey to becoming pharmacists. We meet monthly for different events, including speaker series, application support, and Q&A sessions with current UMN pharmacy students.
Pre-Physician Assistant Club (Pre-PA Club)
By joining the Pre-PA club, students experience new opportunities and learn all about
physician assistants through engaging activities and events. We have meetings where
we prepare for the admission requirements and application processes for PA school.
Club activities include volunteer work, fundraisers, get-togethers, meetings with guest

This is a student-led, privately-funded registered student organization dedicated to informing and assisting students interested in pursuing veterinary medicine about this field. PVMC hopes to connect members with practicing veterinarians, provide general information about this occupation and its many different paths, help them navigate applying to vet school, and of course, unite animal-lovers for some fun outside of the lecture hall.
The purpose of PRIDE in Medicine is to foster a community within a space where people feel safe to share their experiences with each other as LGBTQIA2S+ identifying individuals. This club discusses physics and engages in fun activities including but not limited to movie nights, game nights, trivia/jeopardy events, fun projects such as building atmospheric weather balloons and learning to use various instrumentation (such as Raspberry Pi).
The Society of Women Engineer's mission is to stimulate women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrate the value of diversity.

Highly regarded within industry and academia, this group recognizes outstanding students who display distinguished scholarship in technical fields and exemplary character.

We are a medical school campus group promoting women in the field of medicine and supporting them in anyway we can. We hold events open to anyone in the medical school with guest physicians panels.
